General Information Sister Lydia Longley Madeleine, Council #13140 is named after Lydia Longley, a Groton native and the first American-born woman to take religious vows. Our council is closely affiliated with our parish, Sacred Heart - St. James. Our mission is simple, to support the charters, missions and needs of our parish and Supreme Council.
